This weekend I had several addresses which I had copied and pasted on my computer for a report I’m working on.
They were in various, less-than-perfect formats. But I happen to know that the Korean Postal service operates
a website that is perfect for my needs.
You input a casually formatted address, in either Enlish or Korean,
and it gives you the correct and acceptable format, also in both English and Korean.
Surprising Shredder Switch
While unclogging this home paper shredder, I discovered an unexpected method of providing a time delay. The shredder has an automatic mode, where a small microswitch detects that you’ve inserted a sheet of paper to be shredded. When the trailing edge of the paper passes the switch, without time delay the motor would shut off immediately, leaving a small piece of the paper unshredded. The shutoff time delay allows the paper to be completely shredded before turning off the motor.
